Ang Iglesia ni Cristo sa Pilipinas

 

KARAMIHAN SA MGA TAO’Y NAIS na maging 100 porsiyentong tama at tiyak sa anumang gawain nila. Ito nga ay totoo pagdating sa paggawa ng mga desisyon sa mga bagay-bagay ukol sa kanilang pang-araw-araw na buhay. Ngunit, hindi ba dapat silang maging mas maingat pagdating sa espirituwal na mga bagay, tulad ng pagpili nila ng relihiyon? Sapagka’t, mahalaga na maging tunay na 100 porsiyento ang kapanatagan na ang relihiyon na pinagpasiyahan niyang aniban ay saDiyos at kay Cristo. Ito ay dahil sa ang isang malaking pagkawasak ay matutupad sa mga nalinlang na umanib sa mga huwad na relihiyon, samantalang ang isang dakilang pagpapala ay naghihintay sa mga kabilang sa tunay na relihiyon.

         Kami, na mga miyembro ng Iglesia ni Cristo na lumitaw sa Pilipinas sa mga huling araw na ito, ay sumasampalataya na ang Iglesiang ito lamang ang tunay na nauukol sa Diyos at kay Cristo na napatunayan sa pamamagitan ng katuparan ng mga hula ng Biblia tungkol sa pagkakatatatag nito.

IGLESIANG KAY CRISTO

Si Cristo at ang Kaniyang mga Tupa

Hinulaan ni Cristo ang tungkol sa Kaniyang ibang mga tupa o mga alagad, na sa hinaharap sa mga huling araw na ito, ay magiging isang kawan:

JOHN 10:16 "I have other sheep too. They are not in this flock here. I must lead them also. They will listen to my voice. In the future there will be one flock and one shepherd." [Easy-to-Read Version]

Pagkakaliwat sa Filipino:

JUAN 10:16 "Mayroon pa akong ibang mga tupa. Sila ay wala [pa] sa kawan na ito rito. Kinakailangang dalhin ko rin sila. Makikinig sila sa aking tinig. Sa hinaharap ay magkakaroon ng isang kawan at isang pastol."

Ang kawan natinutukoy sa hula ng Panginoong Jesus ay walang iba kundi ang Iglesia ni Criso:

ACTS 20:28 "Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, to fee the CHURCH OF CHRIST which he has purchased with his own blood." [George M. Lamsa Translation]

GAWA 20:28 "Ingatan ninyo kung gayon ang inyong mga sarili at ang buong kawan na rito’y hinirang kayo ng Espiritu Santo na mga katiwala, upang pakanin ang IGLESIA NI CRISTO na binili niya ng kaniyang sariling dugo."

Ang Malayong Silangan

Unang Digmaang Pansanlibutan (1914)

Bakit namin natitiyak na ang kinatuparan ng hinulaang "ibang mga tupa" ni Cristo, ay ang Iglesia ni Cristo nalumitaw sa Pilipinas sa ating panahon? Saan ba magmumula ang “ibang mga tupa” ni Cristo o ang mga anak ng Diyos? Liliwanagin iyan sa atin ng kaugnay na hula ng Biblia:

ISAIAH 43:5 "From the far east, will I bring your offspring, and from the far west, I will gather you." [James Moffatt, A New Translation of the Bible Containing the Old and New Testaments, New York: Harper Brothers Publishers, © 1954]

ISAIAH 43:6 "I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth—" [New King James Version]

Pagkakaliwat sa Filipino:

ISAIAS 43:5 "Mula sa malayong silangan, aking dadalhin ang iyong supling, at mula sa malayong kanluran, Akin kang pipisanin."

ISAIAH 43:6 "Aking sasabihin sa hilagaan, ‘Bayaan mo sila!’ At sa timugan, ‘Huwag mo silang pigilan!’ Dalhin mo [rito] ang Aking mga anak na lalake mula sa malayo, At ang Aking mga anak na babae mula sa mga wakas ng lupa—"

Ayon sa nasabing hula , Ang mga anak ng Diyos ay magmumula sa Malayong Silangan. Ang Pilipinas ba ay matatagpuan sa Malayong Silangan? Oo. Bilang pagpapatunay na rin ng aklat na ito:

"Far East: It comprises Australia, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, North Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam." [The New York Times Manual of Style and Usage, pp. 129]

Sa katunayan, ang katuparan ng hulang ito ay ang Iglesia ni Cristo na lumitaw sa Pilipinas. Hindi lamang ang lugar ng pinagmulan ng iba pang mga tupa ni Cristo ang nahulaan kundi pati na rin ang panahon ng kanilang paglitaw—"mga wakas ng lupa."

Kailan ba ang panahong "mga wakas ng lupa"? Ito ay sa panahong ang katapusan ng mundo o ng lupa ay malapit na. Niliwanag ng ating manunubos:

MATEO 24:3, 33 "At samantalang siya'y nakaupo sa bundok ng mga Olivo, ay nagsilapit sa kaniya ng bukod ang mga alagad, na nagsisipagsabi, Sabihin mo sa amin, kailan mangyayari ang mga bagay na ito? At ano ang magiging tanda ng iyong pagparito, at ng katapusan ng sanglibutan? ... Gayon din naman kayo, pagka nangakita ninyo ang lahat ng mga bagay na ito, ay talastasin ninyo na siya'y malapit na, nasa mga pintuan nga." Sinabi sa atin ng Panginoong JesuCristo na isa sa mga unang palatandaan na makikita kapag ang oras ay "nasa mga pintuan na" o "sa mga wakas ng lupa", ay digmaan na maririnig o mapapabalita—isang digmaang sukat-pandaigdigan:

MATEO 24:6-8 "At mangakakarinig kayo ng mga digmaan at mga alingawngaw ng mga digmaan; ingatan ninyona huwag kayong magulumihanan: sapagka't kinakailangang ito'y mangyari datapuwa't hindi pa ang wakas. Sapagka't magsisitindig ang bansa laban sa bansa, at ang kaharian laban sa kaharian; at magkakagutom at lilindol sa iba't ibang dako. Ang kinatuparan ng digmaan na hinulaan ni Cristo ay ang Unang Digmaang Pansanlibutan noong 1914. Maging mga Bible scholars man ay makapagpapatunay nito:

"24:6-8a: Wars between nations, or even between kingdoms, is and has been a common occurrence. History has recorded famines at various times. There have been times of great disease epidemics. There have been earthquakes in the past, but increasingly so in the present day. Jesus tells his disciples, however to be awaiting a specific time during which all of these phenomena would be in evidence at the same time. The first such time in world history occurred during the years of World War I (1914-1918) and immediately following." [Matthew 24:6-8 Last Days Bible, footnote]

Pagkakaliwatsa Filipino:

"24:6-8a: Digmaan sa pagitan ng mga bansa, o maging sa pagitan ng mga kaharian, ay isang pangkaraniwang pangyayari. Naitala sa Kasaysayan ang mga tagguton sa magkakaibang panahon. Mayroon ding panahon ng mga malalang epidemya ng sakit. Nagkaroon na ng mga paglindol sa nakaraan, ngunit mas lumalala pa sakasalukuyan. Sinabini Jesus sa kaniyang mga alagad, gayunpaman ay naghihintay ng isang tiyak na oras na kung saan ang lahat ng mga palatandaang ito ay matutupad sa gayon ding panahon. Kaalinsabay ng pagsiklab ng Unang Digmaang Pansanlibutan, ang Iglesia ni Cristo ay nairehistro sa pamahalaan ng Pilipinas noong Hulyo 27, 1914. Samakatuwid, ang ibang mga tupa ni Cristo na darating mula sa Malayong Silangan sa panahong mga wakas ng lupa ay tumutukoy LAMANG sa mga kaanib sa Iglesia ni Cristo na lumitaw sa Pilipinas noong 1914.

KAISA KAY CRISTO

Sa hula sa Isaias 43:5-6, nilinaw na ang Diyos mismo ang magdadala ng Kaniyang mga anak na lalake at babae sa mga huling araw na ito. Kanino Niya sila dadalhin?

JUAN 6:44 "Walang taong makalalapit sa akin, maliban nang ang Amang nagsugo sa akin ang sa kaniya'y magdala sa akin; at siya'y aking ibabangon sa huling araw. " [ANG BIBLIA: Dating Salin, 1905]

Ang layunin ng Diyos sa pagdadala Niya ng Kaniyang mga anak kay Cristo Jesus ay upang sila’y pagsama-samahin o maging kaisa ng Kaniyang Anak (I Corinto 1:9 ABMBB). Ang pagkakaisang ito sa pagitan ni Cristo at ng mga ibinigay ng Diyos sa kaniya ay nasa iisang katawan o Iglesia:

COLOSAS 3:15 "Paghariin ninyo sa inyong puso ang kapayapaang kaloob ni Cristo, sapagkat iyan ang dahilan kung bakit kayo tinawag sa iisang katawan. Magpasalamat kayong lagi." [Ang Bagong Magandang Balita Biblia]

Anoba itong katawan na tinutukoy?

Pagkakaliwat sa Filipino:

COLOSAS 1:18 "Siya ang ulo ng kaniyang katawan, ANG IGLESIA; ..."

At dahil sa ang Iglesia ay katawan ni Cristo, nakatitiyak kami na ang Iglesiang tinutukoy ay ang Iglesia ni Cristo. Kaya, iyong mga hinulaan na ibang mga tupani Cristo na magmumula sa Malayong Silangan sa panahong mga wakas ng lupa na siyang mga tinawag ng Diyos at ipinagkaisa kay Cristo ay nasumpungan sa Iglesia ni Cristo nalumitaw sa Pilipinas.

ANG HINULAANG SUGO

Ang isa pa sa mga hula ng Biblia na natupad sa Iglesia ni Cristo na lumitaw sa Pilipinas ay patungkol sa isang tao na kinasangkapan sa pagpapasimula nito:

ISAIAS 46:11-13 "Na tumatawag ng ibong mangdadagit mula sa silanganan, ng taong gumagawa ng aking payo mula sa malayong lupain; oo, aking sinalita, akin namang papangyayarihin; aking, pinanukala, akin namang gagawin. Inyong dinggin ako, ninyong may mapagmatigas na loob; na malayo sa katuwiran: Aking inilalapit ang aking katuwiran, hindi maglalaon at ang aking pagliligtas ay hindi magluluwat: at aking ilalagay ang kaligtasan sa Sion na ukol sa Israel na aking kaluwalhatian." [ANG BIBLIA: Dating Salin, 1905]

Kapatid na Felix Y. Manalo
Ang Unang Tagapamahala ng Iglesia ni Cristo sa Pilipinas

Ito ang hula ng Diyos patungkol sa Kaniyang sugo sa mga huling araw na ito, ang Kapatid na Felix Y. Manalo. Bakit namin natitiyak na ang hulang ito ay pumapatungkol sa kaniya? Dahil sa pagkakabanggit nito tungkol sa lugar na kaniyang pagmumulan pati na rin ang kaniyang misyon o magiging gawain—" taong gumagawa ng payo [ng Diyos] mula sa malayong lupain;" na ang gawain ay naihalintulad pa sa “ibong mandaragit mula sa silangan.”

Ang terminong "malayong lupain sa silangan" na nabanggit sa hula na tumutugma sa "Malayong Silangan," na ang kinatuparan nga, gaya ng nabanggit na kanina, ay ang Pilipinas—ang bansa kung saan unang ipinangaran ng Kapatid na Felix Manalo ang Iglesia ni Cristo sa mga huling araw na ito. At saka, ang gawain ng sugo na siyang tatawagin upang dalhin ang katuwiran ng Diyos o ang evangelio (Roma 1:16-17) sa mga tao ay inihalintulad sa ibong mandaragit dahil ang mga taong dadalhin niya ay pinigil ng hilagaan at ng timugan:

Ang “hilagaan” na binanggit sa hula ay pumapatungkol sa relihiyong Protestante [Encyclopedia of World Religions, pp. 745]. Katunayan pa nga, iyong mga taong naging unang mga anak ng Diyos sa mga huling araw na ito ay sapilitang inagaw mula sa dalawang malaking relihiyon. Nakayanang gawin ito ng Kapatid na Felix dahil, gaya ng hinulaan, kaniyang "gagawin ang payo [ng Diyos]" sa pamamangitan ng pangangaral ng dalisay na mga salita ng Diyos (Awit 107:11) na nakasulat sa Biblia.

Lahat ng mga hula patungkol sa Iglesia ni Cristo at sa sugo ng Diyos sa mga huling araw na ito ay natupad. Pinatutunayan lamang nito, batay sa Biblia, na ang Iglesia ni Cristo na lumitaw sa Pilipinas noong Hulyo 27, 1914 ay sa Diyos at kay Cristo.

Ito ang dahilan kung bakit patuloy namin kayong hinihikayat, mga giliw naming mga mambabasa, na masugid sa paghahanap ng tunay na relihiyon at pagsamba sa Diyos. Sana ay mapaanib din kayo sa amin—gawin na po ang tama at tiyak na pagpapasiya upang maging karapat-dapat sa pagtatamo ng kaligatasan.

MOST PEOPLE WANT to be 100 percent right and sure in whatever they do. This holds true when it comes to making decisions on matters concerning their everyday lives. But, should they not be even more circumspect when it comes to spiritual matters, such as choosing one's religion? For, it is vital for one to be truly 100 percent confident that the religion he has decided to join is really of God and of Christ. This is because a great destruction will befall those who have been deceived to join false religions, whereas a great blessing awaits those who belong to the true religion.

          We, the members of the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines in these last days, firmly believe that it is this Church alone that truly belongs to God and to Christ as attested by the fulfillment of biblical prophecies regarding its establishment.

CHRIST'S CHURCH

Christ and His sheep

Christ prophesied about His other sheep or disciples who, on the future on these last days, would become one flock:

JOHN 10:16 "I have other sheep too. They are not in this flock here. I must lead them also. They will listen to my voice. In the future there will be one flock and one shepherd." [Easy-to-Read Version]

The flock being referred to in the prophecy of the Lord Jesus is no other than the Church of Christ:

ACTS 20:28 "Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, to fee the CHURCH OF CHRIST which he has purchased with his own blood." [George M. Lamsa Translation]

THE PLACE AND TIME ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE

The Far East

First World War (1914)

Why are we sure that the fulfillment of the prophesied "other sheep" of Christ, is the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines in our time? Where will Christ's "other sheep" or God's sons and daughters come from? A related biblical prophecy enlightens us:

ISAIAH 43:5 "From the far east, will I bring your offspring, and from the far west, I will gather you." [James Moffatt, A New Translation of the Bible Containing the Old and New Testaments, New York: Harper Brothers Publishers, © 1954]

ISAIAH 43:6 "I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth—" [New King James Version]

According to God's prophecy, God's sons and daughters will come from the Far East. Is the Philippines located in the Far East? Yes. As attested by this book:

"Far East: It comprises Australia, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, North Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam." [The New York Times Manual of Style and Usage, pp. 129]

Indeed, the fulfillment of this prophecy is the Church of Christ which emerged in the Philippines. Not only was the place of origin of Christ's other sheep prophesied but also the time of their emergence—"ends of the earth."

When is the time "ends of the earth"? It is when the end of the world or earth is near. Our redeemer explained:

MATTHEW 24:3, 33 "And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? ... So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." [King James Version]

The Lord Jesus Christ told us that one of the early signs to be seen when the time is already "at the doors" or "the ends of the earth", is a war that would be heard or talked about—a war of global proportions:

MATTHEW 24:6-8 "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." [New King James Version]

The fulfillment of that war prophesied by Christ is the First World War in 1914. Even Bible scholars attest to this:

"24:6-8a: Wars between nations, or even between kingdoms, is and has been a common occurrence. History has recorded famines at various times. There have been times of great disease epidemics. There have been earthquakes in the past, but increasingly so in the present day. Concurrent with the outbreak of the First World War, the Church of Christ was registered with the government in the Philippines on July 27, 1914. Therefore, Christ's other sheep that would come from the Far East at the time ends of the earth refer ONLY to the members of the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines in 1914.

UNITED WITH CHRIST

In the prophecy in Isaiah 43:5-6, it was made clear that God Himself would bring His sons and daughters in these last days. To whom would He bring them?

JOHN 6:44 "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." [New King James Version]

God's purpose in bringing His people to Jesus Christ is for them to have fellowship or be in union with His son (I Corinthians 1:9 NKJV). This union between Christ and those whom God has given to Him is in the one body or Church:

COLOSSIANS 3:15 "The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the ONE BODY. And be thankful." [Today's English Version]

COLOSSIANS 1:18 "He is the head of his body, THE CHURCH; ..." [Today's English Version]

Since the Church is the body of Christ, we are certain that the church referred to is the Church of Christ. Accordingly, those who were prophesied as the other sheep of Christ who would come from the Far East during the time ends of the earth and whom God called and brought to be in union with Christ are found in the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines.

THE PROPHESIED MESSENGER

Another biblical prophecy fulfilled in the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines is the one concerning the man instrumental in starting it:

ISAIAH 46:11-13 "Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. “Listen to Me, you stubborn-hearted, Who are far from righteousness: I bring My righteousness near, it shall not be far off; My salvation shall not linger. And I will place salvation in Zion, For Israel My glory." [New King James Version]

Brother Felix Y. Manalo
The First Executive Minister of the Church of Christ in the Philippines

This is God's prophecy concerning His messenger in these last days, Brother Felix Y. Manalo. Why are we sure that this prophecy refers to Him? Because of what it says concerning his place of origin as well as mission or works—"the man who executes [God's] counsel from a far country," whose work is likened to that of "a bird of prey from the east."

The term "far country in the east" mentioned in the prophecy corresponds to "Far East," the fulfillment of which, as discussed earlier, is the Philippines—the country where Brother Felix Manalo first preached the Church of Christ in these last days. Furthermore, the work of the messenger who would be called to bring God's righteousness or the gospel (Romans 1:16-17) near to people was likened to that of a bird of prey because the people to whom he was sent were being held back by the north and by the south:

ISAIAH 43:5-6 "Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth—" [New King James Version]

The "north" mentioned in the prophecy refers to the Protestant religion and the "south" then refers to the Catholic religion [Encyclopedia of World Religions, pp. 745]. Indeed, those who would eventually become the first of God's children in these last days were snatched from these two major religions. Brother Felix was able to do this because, as prophesied, he would "execute [God's] counsel" by preaching the pure words of God (Psalms 107:11) written in the Bible.

All the prophecies concerning the Church of Christ and God's messenger in these last days have been fulfilled. This only proves, based on the Bible, that the Church of Christ that emerged in the Philippines on July 27, 1914 belongs to God and to Christ.

That is why we are encouraging, you, dear readers to be ardent in seeking the true religion and worship of God. We hope that you would join us—make the right and sure decision to be deemed worthy for salvation.
